Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Hours of work:

7.15am to 3:45pm on a Monday to Thursday

7.15am to 12noon on a Friday

*Flexibility will be required due to the ECAs and fixtures, time off in-lieu will be given where appropriate.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

1. Fixture and Team Administration

Oversee the administration of team lists, match logistics, and fixture communication using the SOCS platform.

Ensure accurate and timely information is shared with staff, students, and parents regarding fixtures, training schedules, and venues.

2. Parental and Staff Communication

Respond professionally and promptly to parent queries related to sport and fixtures.

Support staff with administrative tasks and communication, ensuring all records and correspondence are clear and accurate.

Maintain up-to-date registers, consent forms, and schedules.

3. Event Support

Attend fixtures and sporting events as required to assist with logistics, student management, and presentation.

Provide administrative and hands-on support for sports tours, house competitions, and awards evenings.

Assist with photography, registration, and communications during events.

4. Social Media and Promotion

Create and curate engaging content to showcase sporting success and promote fixtures, achievements, and house competitions via school-approved channels.

5. General Departmental Support

Support the PE team with clerical tasks including printing, filing, and spreadsheet management.

Provide an extra pair of hands during busy periods, demonstrating initiative and flexibility.

Contribute to the calm, professional, and supportive atmosphere of the department.

Education and Qualifications:

A-levels or equivalent; further qualifications in sport administration or PE desirable.

Competent IT skills, particularly in administrative platforms and spreadsheets.

Experience:

Previous experience in an administrative or logistics-based role, ideally in a school or sporting context.

Familiarity with SOCS or similar school systems would be advantageous.

Skills and Attributes:

Outstanding organisation and time management skills.

A calm, practical approach with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to support wherever needed.

Flexibility to attend fixtures and events outside of standard hours.

An enthusiasm for school sport and a genuine desire to support young athletes.

Other duties and responsibilities:

Any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager and/or Principal

Safa British School seeks a dependable, proactive, and well-organised Sports Administrator/Technician to support the day-to-day running of the PE Department.

Working alongside the Director of Sport and wider team, the Sport Administrator will oversee all administrative and logistical elements of the school s extensive sports provision.

From communicating with parents to attending fixtures and managing team logistics, the role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who takes pride in organisation, teamwork, and high standards.
