Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Your role will comprise of all aspects of business development in terms of dealing in Polymer trading, and distribution of plastic raw materials.
Build and maintain relationships with customers, achieve satisfactory market share in relation to preset standards, industry trends, and also sales and margin goals.
Negotiate with customers to close sales orders
Act as a liaison between the suppliers/customers and operations staff.
Analysis of current rates to assure we are competitive and also providing excellent service.
Developing goals for specialized sales/facilitation work by offering solutions to supplier/customers and be competitive so that such sales continue regularly.
Work with Management to resolve people issues as needed
Direct and monitor the workflow of the entire sales cycle (full cycle from lead generation, sales, delivery and accounts receivables recovery)
Customer visits
Due diligence about customer financial situation and credit worthiness
Analyzing customer business trends and profitability
Building long lasting relationships with key decisions makers
Desired Candidate Profile
5+ years’ experience in polymer/petrochemical sales
Strong network in African markets preferred
Experience in export trade & international sales
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Willingness to travel frequently
Candidates with established relationships in African polymer markets will be highly preferred
