Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Steward to support kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, washing utensils, and ensuring hygiene standards are followed at all times. The ideal candidate will play a key role in keeping the kitchen organized and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, floors, walls, and storage spaces
Ensure proper disposal of waste and maintain garbage areas
Assist in basic food preparation when required
Ensure all cleaning chemicals and equipment are used safely
Follow hygiene and sanitation standards as per health regulations
Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy hours
Store cleaned items properly in designated areas
Report any maintenance, breakage, or hygiene issues to the supervisor
Ensure availability of cleaning supplies and inform when stock is low
Desired Candidate Profile
Previous experience as a Steward or Kitchen Helper is an advantage
Basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation practices
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player with a positive attitude
Basic communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering companies
Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals
