Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver age-appropriate, curriculum-aligned art lessons that incorporate drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media techniques.
• Foster a creative, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages experimentation, self-expression, and artistic risk-taking.
• Assess student progress through regular critiques, portfolios, and formative/summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across interdisciplinary projects and school-wide events such as exhibitions, cultural festivals, and performances.
• Maintain up-to-date art supplies, equipment, and classroom resources, ensuring safety and organization in studio spaces.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, curriculum reviews, and school improvement initiatives.
• Promote cultural diversity and global awareness through the study of international art movements and artists.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a closely related field; Master s degree is highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 4 5 years of teaching experience in art education, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing engaging, standards-based art curricula.
• Strong proficiency in a wide range of artistic mediums and techniques, including traditional and digital tools.
• Valid teaching certification or license recognized by UAE education authorities.
• IELTS score of 6.5 or higher (or equivalent English language proficiency) required for Arab National, Western National, and Native English speakers.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team and adapt to diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, Cambridge, or National Curriculum for England is highly desirable.
