Roles & Responsibilities

The Business Manager – Cybersecurity Domain for the ME will be responsible for the overall strategy, performance, and growth of the assigned product categories within the ME market. Reporting directly to the Business Unit Head, this role will act as the champion for their categories, driving product assortment, pricing strategies, promotional activities, vendor relationships, and ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs in the ME. The Business Manager -Security domain will lead a team and work cross-functionally to maximize the potential of their product portfolio in the UAE.

The key accountabilities of the role will be to:

Category Strategy & Planning - Conduct in-depth market analysis, including consumer trends, competitor activities, and pricing benchmarks specific to the ME market for the assigned categories. Define clear category objectives, targets (e.g., revenue, market share, profitability), and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the ME. Identify growth opportunities, new product introductions, and potential market gaps within the assigned categories in the UAE. Own and manage the internal MBOs, monthly profitability of things. Pricing and overall promotion of a product category to maximize consumer appeal.

Pricing Strategy & Execution : Develop and implement effective pricing strategies for the assigned categories in the ME, considering market conditions, competitor pricing, and profitability targets. Regularly review and adjust pricing based on market dynamics and promotional activities in the ME. Develop and execute promotional plans and marketing initiatives for the assigned categories in the ME, in collaboration with the marketing team. Takes Margin responsibility of the specific category.

Vendor Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key vendors and suppliers for the assigned product categories in the ME. Pre-contract vendor engagement and onboarding new vendors, negotiate favorable terms, secure product availability, and collaborate on marketing and promotional activities specific to the ME market. Managing internal and external interfaces (e.g. with other channel groups and functional departments, relationships with channel partners and manufacturers of complimentary products). Responsible for ensuring Statutory/ Vendor/ Redington compliance in all the operations

Manage Human Capital effectively - Build organizational capability and capacity to meet the pressing demands of rapid growth in a competitive and changing environment. Lead and manage a team of product managers within the assigned categories in the ME. Ensure that the team gets the desired support, invest in their growth and support them to overcome Individual and Business Challenges, being a mentor and a coach to attain organizational goals.

Reporting Relationship and Location The Business Manager –Cybersecurity Domain will be based in ME and report to the M E Business Unit Head. The span of control for the position will be in the range of ~ 4-6 direct reports. Specific Requirement: Need experience in Palo Alto or related Security product and services portfolio.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Academic qualification or professional training and sales experience is required.

 

Experience

  • The ideal candidate for this role should have Minimum of 8- 12 years of experience in category management, product management, or a related role within the distribution industry, with a strong focus on the ME market.

  • Has knowledge of products and services from security domain.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing product categories, driving growth, and achieving profitability targets in the ME.

  • He/She will have demonstrated experience of driving sales, the ability to think out-of-the-box, a willingness to experiment, and demonstrate solutions orientation and strong business acumen.

  • Strong understanding of the ME market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscape for the relevant product categories.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to technologists. The candidate should be able to “sell” ideas and processes internally at all levels.
