Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior chefs in line with Nobu s brand standards.
  • Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all dishes served.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  • Support the kitchen team in daily mise en place and smooth service execution.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and plating guidelines accurately.
  • Contribute to maintaining stock levels and minimizing food wastage.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance culinary skills and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

1 2 years of experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar kitchen role, preferably in an international luxury hotel or fine-dining restaurant.

Basic knowledge of Japanese and Asian fusion cuisine is an advantage.

Strong passion for cooking, learning, and continuous improvement.

Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Formal culinary training or certification is preferred.

Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards.

Flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining quality at all times.
