Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Greenpeace Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is an independent environmental organization established in 2018 to address the unique and complex environmental and climate challenges facing this region we call our home. As a politically and financially independent non-profit organisation, we are dedicated to empowering local communities and collaborating with allies to develop innovative and practical solutions that help people to live in harmony with the environment.
2. Objectives
Greenpeace MENA manages multiple digital platforms (Planet 4 WordPress & HubSpot CMS). The main objective of this consultancy is to perform a thorough technical audit of GP MENA website with an emphasis on:
- Identifying gaps and technical problems.
- Assessing how well external tools and systems integrate.
- Evaluating web design, user experience (UX), and structure.
- Examining the optimisation and functionality of search engines.
- Recommendations on changes to increase scalability, performance, and usability.
3. Scope of Work
The consultant will:
- Technical Audit: Review the website s backend and frontend performance, including hosting, load speeds, security, and code quality.
- Integrations: Assess existing integrations (APIs, CRM, analytics, forms, payment gateways, etc.) and identify potential improvements.
- Web Structure: Evaluate navigation, architecture, and content organization for clarity and efficiency.
- Web Design & UX: Review layout, responsiveness, accessibility, and user-friendliness across devices.
- Search Engine: Audit the website s search functionality and SEO readiness (indexing, metadata, tags, and performance in search engines).
- Recommendations: Provide prioritized recommendations (short-, medium-, and long-term) for technical fixes and strategic improvements. This would include recommendations if we should stay with P4/Information Architecture (IA) or develop a new independent website from scratch.
4. Deliverables
The consultant will provide:
- Initial plan (brief plan and methodology, within the first week).
- Comprehensive Technical Audit Report covering all areas listed in the scope, with detailed findings.
- Recommendations Roadmap (actionable, prioritized list of improvements).
- Presentation of Findings to the management team.
5. Duration & Timeline
- Estimated duration: 2-3 weeks.
- Expected start date: October 20, 2025.
- Final deliverables to be submitted by: November 15.
6. Roles & Responsibilities
- Consultant: Carry out the audit, prepare reports and recommendations, and present findings.
- GP MENA: Provide access to the website, relevant documentation, and key points of contact for integrations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience in managing websites in P4 and HubSpot s environments
- Proven experience in technical website audits and web development.
- Strong knowledge of integrations, web architecture, and UX/UI design.
- Experience with SEO and search functionality optimization.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Prior experience working with NGOs or mission-driven organizations (preferred).
