Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and specifications, ensuring high-quality and consistent taste.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
Manage and maintain an inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring an adequate stock for daily operations.
Collaborate with the head chef and other kitchen staff to develop and execute daily menus.
Ensure food is presented attractively and meets the highest standards of quality and taste.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
Stay updated with the latest culinary trends and techniques, incorporating new ideas into the menu.
Work efficiently and effectively, managing time and resources to meet production deadlines.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook, preferably in a hotel or catering company setting.
- Proven experience in preparing continental and South Indian cuisine.
- Excellent knowledge of culinary arts, including various cooking methods and techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring consistent quality and presentation of dishes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the catering schedule.
- A positive and passionate attitude towards cooking and a commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and culinary trends.
