About the role
Lean is scaling into a multi-product, industry-verticalized commercial organization. As part of this evolution, we re hiring a senior leader to own our Remittance & Trading vertical - one of the region s most strategic and high-value segments across the UAE and KSA.
This role shapes how Lean lands, grows, and scales within remittance providers, trading platforms, crypto companies, and digital wallets. You will own the GTM strategy, revenue growth, and market capture for the entire vertical.
We re looking for someone with deep industry experience, strong commercial instincts, and the conviction to build new motions from scratch.
The Moment
Lean has tripled in size over the past twelve months. We re on track to triple again next year.
What started as the region s pioneering Open Finance platform is now becoming something bigger: a multi-product infrastructure company powering payments, data, and lending across MENA. We re expanding into new markets, opening offices, acquiring businesses, and building capabilities that didn t exist here before.
We ve processed billions of dollars in transactions. We re trusted by 300+ clients - from Binance and Careem to Etisalat - and backed by General Catalyst, Sequoia, and Shorooq. Our $67.5M Series B was just the beginning.
What you'll own

Vertical Strategy & Ownership
-
Own the full P&L, GTM strategy, and market penetration for the Remittance & Trading vertical.
Define the vertical s roadmap - core use-cases, industry workflows, growth levers, and regional differences across UAE and KSA. -
Build and execute a scalable GTM model: segmentation, playbooks, key accounts, and consumption-growth pathways.

Represent the vertical in WBRs, QBRs, and cross-functional councils as the single-threaded owner of targets, risks, and action plans.

Enterprise Sales Leadership

Lead high-stakes enterprise sales cycles, managing relationships with founders, CFOs, CTOs, compliance leaders, and payment heads.

Own deal strategy for new logos and major expansions - ensuring predictable execution, velocity, and alignment.

Shape Lean s positioning across guaranteed payments, instant withdrawals, verification flows, stablecoin settlements, and future vertical-specific products.

Cross-Functional GTM Execution

Partner with Product & Engineering to influence the roadmap based on real operator workflows, market gaps, and regulatory shifts.

Work with PMMs to build vertical-specific narratives, sales enablement assets, UI/UX best practices, and cross-sell motions.

Drive CSM and SE alignment - ensuring activation quality, implementation readiness, and consumption growth across accounts.

Client & Ecosystem Leadership

Act as Lean s executive face for the Remittance & Trading ecosystem - industry events, regulators, networks, and top-tier clients.

Build deep domain knowledge across remittance and trading workflows: KYC/AML, treasury, settlement, liquidity, FX, fraud, risk, and compliance.

Build an ecosystem of operators who become advisors, early adopters, and co-design partners for new GTMs.

Team Building & Vertical POD Leadership

Build and lead a dedicated vertical POD (AEs, CSMs, SEs) with clear KPIs, performance standards, and operating rhythms.

Set and enforce high-performance expectations for sales execution, activation, and account growth.

Coach and develop talent across the POD, raising the bar on industry expertise, execution discipline, and commercial judgment.

What we're looking for
-
Experience in Remittance or Trading - selling into them, partnering with them, or having worked inside one.
-
Deep payments or open banking sales experience: guaranteed payments, withdrawals, verification, settlements, FX, compliance.

A proven GTM operator who has built and scaled enterprise motions.
-
Ability to sell and close complex enterprise deals independently.
-
Founder-mode builder who has created net-new commercial motions (not just inherited playbooks).
-
Charismatic, relationship-first operator who wins trust fast and can operate at founder/C-suite level.

Strong cross-functional influence: Product, Solutions, CS, RevOps, Leadership.

Experience in influencing internal decision-making and shaping product direction.

Regional MENA experience is valuable but not mandatory if industry and GTM depth is exceptional.
