Head of Transport – PMV & Heavy Equipment

Lead the Transport Division (PMV & Rental) with full operational, financial, and commercial accountability across all contracting projects. Develop and execute transport strategies supporting growth, multi-project execution, and profitability. Own and manage the division’s P&L, budgets, and financial performance. Oversee fleet planning, allocation, deployment, and utilization of heavy vehicles and equipment. Maximize asset productivity across projects, rental, and cross-hire business. Develop and expand rental and cross-hire operations, including pricing, contracts, and partnerships. Identify third-party hiring opportunities and external fleet deployment. Optimize fuel, maintenance, manpower, and overall asset efficiency. Establish KPIs, SOPs, and performance standards to ensure operational discipline. Ensure preventive maintenance, regulatory compliance, HSE standards, and risk management. Lead, mentor, and develop transport managers, supervisors, drivers, and workshop teams. Coordinate with Projects, Procurement, Finance, HR, and external vendors for seamless operations. Strong business development skills with an established network of machinery providers for cross-hire. Knowledge of sourcing second-hand machinery, operational challenges, and repair/maintenance ecosystem.
