Roles & Responsibilities

Background & Experience

1) Industry Exposure:

  • Preferably from a QS, construction, project management or consultancy background.
  • If not from QS directly, at least from related fields such as architecture, engineering, or contracting—with a

network in the industry.


2) Experience Level : 5–10 years in business development, sales, or key account management in the construction consultancy sector.

3) Client Base Knowledge:

  • Familiar with developers, contractors, architects,government bodies, and large infrastructure clients.

4) Project Tendering & Bidding Knowledge:

  • Understanding of how QS services are priced, proposed,and negotiated.

Skills & Competencies

1) Technical Understanding:

  • Ability to explain QS services (cost planning, BOQ preparation, contract administration, value engineering)

in client-friendly terms.

2)Networking & Relationship Building:

  • Strong connections in the construction ecosystem.

3)Commercial Acumen:

  • Ability to spot profitable opportunities and negotiate favorable terms.

4)Proposal Writing & Presentation Skills:

  • Able to prepare winning proposals, presentations, and capability statements.

5)Market Research:

  • Knows how to track upcoming tenders, industry news,and pipeline opportunities.

6)Communication:

  • Persuasive, confident, and clear communicator with decision-makers

Key Deliverables in the Role

  • Expand client base (developers, contractors, consultants).
  • Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients.
  • Monitor tenders and ensure timely submissions.
  • Coordinate with QS team for technical inputs in proposals.
  • Represent company in industry events, networking forums, and client meetings.
  • Achieve revenue and client acquisition targets.
