Overview
Mastercard Services is the professional services arm of Mastercard, delivering cutting-edge solutions that help our customers grow and innovate. Our Services Business Development team drives strategic engagements across commercial payment ecosystems, leveraging Mastercard s platforms, data, and expertise to create high-impact solutions for corporates, SMEs, and public sector entities.
This role focuses on Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF), enabling businesses to optimize working capital, streamline payment processes, and adopt innovative B2B payment solutions. You will partner with clients and internal teams to design and deliver strategies that unlock value across buyer-supplier networks.
Role Responsibilities
Business Development & Advisory
Drive revenue growth by identifying and developing opportunities in commercial payments, including corporate cards, virtual cards, SME solutions, and cross-border flows.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, co-creating strategies that address pain points in accounts payable/receivable, treasury operations, and cash flow optimization.
Navigate complex operating models of issuers, acquirers, fintechs, ERPs, and platforms to deliver tailored CNPF solutions.
Solution Design & Delivery
Lead engagements focused on working capital management and buyer supplier payment dynamics, balancing financial and operational drivers.
Develop proposals and business cases articulating Mastercard s value proposition in B2B payments, leveraging commercial levers such as terms, rebates, interchange, and integration.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, influencing decision-making and driving adoption of Mastercard solutions.
Collaborate with internal product, sales, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with client needs and Mastercard s CNPF strategy.
Thought Leadership
Contribute to Mastercard s intellectual capital on commercial payments, sharing insights on market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies.
Represent Mastercard Services at industry forums and client workshops.
Required Skills & Experience
Deep understanding of working capital management, cash flow optimization, and treasury operations in the context of commercial payments.
Strong knowledge of commercial cards, virtual cards, SME payment solutions, and cross-border payment flows.
Solid grasp of corporate finance, AP/AR processes, and cash management tools used by large corporates, SMEs, and public sector entities.
Proven experience in payments consulting, solution selling, or business development, with a focus on B2B and commercial payment ecosystems.
Ability to navigate buyer supplier payment dynamics, addressing supplier acceptance challenges and buyer working capital goals.
Familiarity with Mastercard s CNPF strategy, including Corporate Solutions, SME, Transfer Solutions, and Commercial Verticals.
Strong track record of engaging businesses of all sizes to deliver actionable, high-impact strategies.
Excellent communication, analytical, and influencing skills; ability to present compelling narratives to senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
Experience in Corporate/Wholesale baking in payments and cash management
Experience working with ERP systems and integration for payment solutions.
Experience in treasury consulting is highly desirable
Knowledge of regional and global commercial payment trends and regulatory frameworks.
