Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Precisely measure, cut, and shape fabric, foam, and other materials to fit furniture frames, ensuring minimal waste and optimal aesthetics.
- Expertly apply upholstery materials, including fabric, leather, or vinyl, to furniture frames, securing them with staples, tacks, or adhesives for a flawless finish.
- Perform frame repairs and modifications, such as reinforcing joints or replacing damaged components, to restore furniture integrity.
- Construct and install internal components like springs, webbing, and padding to provide support and comfort to upholstered pieces.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a foundational understanding of basic concepts.
- Completion of a vocational program or apprenticeship in upholstery or carpentry, providing hands-on training and practical skills.
- Certification in upholstery or related trades, showcasing a commitment to professional development and industry standards.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in furniture upholstery, with a proven track record of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
