Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Chef de Cuisine, The Edge you will manage and organize all the requirements of the restaurant kitchen to the highest standards in accordance with the standard operating procedures. You will ensure proper hygiene and sanitation in the workplace under your jurisdiction, adequate stocks of working materials, inter department coordination and training. You will also carry full responsibility for the operating equipment, including its inventory levels, and maintain the resort food cost at all times as well as managing other business necessities such as the kitchen s P&L. You must ensure and enforce the set service standard procedures by directing, supervising, and motivating staff to perform to their highest level of service. You will also communicate with the guests and share feedback with the chef in charge and the management. The feedback then will ensure high levels of food and service quality, and guest satisfaction are always maintained. Candidate that we are on a lookout for brings strong creativity and vision to culinary execution and leads by example while fostering innovation in the kitchen.
Desired Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate must have a Diploma in Catering or similar and have 8-10 years experience in a 5-star international chain/hotel, whilst having a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a management role, such as a CDC or similar. The right candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of HACCP as well as general health & safety in the workplace.
