Position Overview

Key Responsibilities


* Prepare mise en place and cook dishes in accordance with recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
* Support the Chef de Partie in day-to-day kitchen operations, maintaining smooth workflow within the section.
* Uphold hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards as per HACCP requirements.
* Ensure consistent portioning, garnishing, and plating of food across all service periods.
* Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and ensure efficient use of ingredients to minimize waste.
* Collaborate effectively with other kitchen sections and the stewarding team for smooth service.
* Train and mentor Commis Chefs to build team capability and maintain performance consistency.
* Participate in menu testing, product innovation, and new promotions as directed by senior chefs.
* Maintain equipment cleanliness, report maintenance issues, and ensure all safety procedures are followed.

Ideal Profile

* Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional qualification.
* Minimum 1 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or Commis in a 5-star hotel or Michelin-starred restaurant.
* Solid foundation in international cuisine and modern cooking techniques.
* Knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, and high-volume kitchen operations.
* Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Passion for culinary innovation, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
* Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
