Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

To plan, advise and implement all HR activities in relation to GMS personnel in

accordance with company policies and procedures supporting effective manning of

company vessels.


Provide Employee Relations support to the GMS personnel in relation to welfare,

classification, compensation, and related employment activities as per the standard

company policies and procedures, UAE laws and its latest amendments


  • To contribute to the design, update and administration of internal HR company

policies, procedures, handbook, and programs.

  • Acts as the focal point for all personnel on all HR and welfare related issues (including

hospitalisation, leave, bank, and salary enquiries).

  • Is point of contact with Manning agents on personnel welfare

  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and

accurate processing of employee transactions including EOSB, and other deductions.

  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of employee details and payroll updates

including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay scale.

  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.

  • Performs other duties as assigned projects related to payroll.

  • Ensures accurate recording of new employees, maintains accurate and up to date

personnel records in relation to HR requirements.

  • In co-ordination with the Crewing Officers, manages the computation, recording and

tracking of payments for all crew including, ESB and refer a friend payments.

  • Prepares and manage all standard letter and documentation requirements for use in

embassies, banks, etc.

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of required reports.

  • Participates in any offshore personnel labour issues ensuring GMS procedures and

standard practise is followed.

  • Co-ordinates with the Public Relations team in terms of visa cancellation as well as

out of the country cancellation of GMS personnel.

  • Provides HR support to new geography / regions as required to ensure effective

manning of vessels.

  • Implementation of the exit procedure for all staff.

  • Track leavers exit interviews and data for reporting and audit

  • Provide administrative support to Senior HRBP

Desired Candidate Profile

With minimum 3 years of general experience preferably within Human Resources and

management environment.

  • Must be self-driven, independent, reliable and attentive to details, well organized and

has a strong drive to get things done.

  • Ability to work with transparency and treats sensitive or confidential information

appropriately.

  • Must have good communicative, influencing and decision-making skills .

  • Ability to deal with people tactfully and effectively .

  • Software expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential. Knowledge in other MS

Office package is an advantage
