Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Recruiter – Oil & Gas & Engineering will manage end-to-end recruitment for technical, engineering, supervisory, and site-based roles, while also supporting structured onboarding and employee engagement initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring timely hiring for projects, smooth integration of new joiners, and improved retention across divisions.

A. Recruitment & Manpower Hiring

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for, including:

    • Engineers (Mechanical, Electrical, QA/QC, Planning, Automation)

    • Supervisors, foremen, inspectors, technicians, and skilled manpower

    • Project-based and site roles for marine and Oil & Gas projects

  • Coordinate closely with line managers, project heads, and operations teams to understand:

    • Technical requirements

    • Site conditions

    • Project timelines and mobilization needs

  • Source candidates through job portals, referrals, agencies, and direct sourcing

  • Conduct initial screening and HR interviews; coordinate technical and final interviews

  • Maintain accurate recruitment trackers, CV databases, and hiring status reports

  • Support offer coordination, salary alignment, and joining confirmations

B. Onboarding & Joining Management

  • Coordinate onboarding for white-collar, technical, and site-based employees

  • Ensure completion of:

    • Joining documentation

    • Induction schedules

    • Coordination with PRO for visa, medical, and mobilization readiness

  • Act as the primary HR contact for new joiners during their first 30–90 days

  • Ensure smooth handover from recruitment to operations and site teams

C. Employee Engagement & Retention Support

  • Support HR-led employee engagement initiatives across AMG divisions, including:

    • Team meetings and townhalls

    • Safety, milestone, and project completion events

    • Feedback collection and engagement surveys

  • Assist in executing engagement calendars aligned to site and project realities

  • Support initiatives focused on retention, communication, and workforce morale

D. HR Coordination & Reporting

  • Maintain recruitment and onboarding data for reporting and audits

  • Prepare weekly and monthly hiring and manpower reports

  • Support HR audits, documentation, and compliance initiatives

  • Coordinate with manager on process improvements and weekly reporting

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 3–5 years of recruitment experience in Oil & Gas, Engineering, EPC, or Marine sectors

  • Proven experience hiring technical, project-based, and site manpower

  • Strong understanding of UAE/GCC recruitment markets

  • Working knowledge of UAE Labour Law and onboarding compliance

  • Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Proficiency in Excel and recruitment tracking systems
