Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Manager, Business Development Free Zone is responsible for leading initiatives to attract investments and promote Abu Dhabi Airports Free Zone (ADAFZ) as a premier business destination. The role focuses on driving business growth, enhancing economic development, and building strong strategic relationships. It involves close collaboration with the VP Business Development and SVP Real Estate. The position requires strong market knowledge, a well-established business network, and the ability to engage stakeholders across government, industry, and international markets to support investment promotion and positioning of ADAFZ.

Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Develop business cases for new products and pricing strategies, including financial evaluation (budgets, expenditures, IRR, payback period, etc.).
  • Formulate strategic partnerships and alliances with business councils, embassies, law firms, and other stakeholders to strengthen ADAFZ s market position.
  • Collaborate with government entities and industry associations to influence beneficial policy or initiatives for ADAFZ and its stakeholders.
  • Represent ADAFZ at conferences, trade shows, and networking events locally and internationally to promote investment opportunities.
  • Assess and report on the effectiveness of business development strategies and marketing campaigns in coordination with the marketing team.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Evaluate financial feasibility of product development, including ROI, budgets, R&D costs, and P&L projections.
  • Lead end-to-end project management for investment attraction initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones within scope and budget.
  • Act as the focal point for coordination with internal departments such as CP&C, Procurement, Facilities Management, Finance, and Airport Operations.
  • Support stakeholders with master planning, infrastructure, and construction-related requirements by coordinating with technical teams and relevant departments.

Requirements and Skills

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master s degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years in a managerial role in a similar function, preferably within investment attraction or related environments.
