Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Define and execute the multi-year commercial strategy for the MEA region, overseeing a department of managers to ensure the achievement of aggressive multi-million dollar revenue targets.
Lead, mentor, and scale a unit of sales managers and account executives, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and sophisticated consultative selling.
Act as the final escalation point for complex commercial negotiations, legal frameworks, and difficult-to-close enterprise deals involving sovereign wealth funds and national oil companies (NOCs).
Build and sustain strategic alliances with C-level executives and government ministers across the MEA energy and chemical sectors to position OPIS as an essential infrastructure partner.
Leverage master-level subject matter expertise to identify emerging market drivers (e.g., Hydrogen, ESG, Carbon credits) and influence the global product roadmap to meet regional needs.
Oversee the integrity of the regional sales pipeline, ensuring world-class CRM hygiene and providing the global executive committee with high-level forecasting and market risk assessments.
Orchestrate collaboration between News, Product, and Research teams across Dow Jones to deliver holistic, 360-degree solutions to complex energy conglomerates.
Desired Candidate Profile
You Have:
- 15+ years of leadership in energy, chemicals, or commodity data sales and strategic consulting.
- Proven success managing managers and leading diverse teams across the Middle East & Africa.
- Master-level expertise in the full energy value chain and regional regulatory landscapes.
- Expert at navigating complex decision-making in multi-national and state-owned enterprises.
- Demonstrated history of scaling commercial units through strategic market insights.
- Advanced negotiation skills for resolving high-stakes conflicts and closing long-term enterprise contracts.
- Absolute fluency in English and Arabic is highly preferred.
