Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, while adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste, to optimize kitchen profitability.
  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages skill development and creativity.
  • Implement and enforce kitchen procedures and standards, ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation.
  • Conduct regular kitchen staff meetings to communicate expectations, address concerns, and motivate the team.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends, techniques, and dietary restrictions, incorporating new ideas into the menu.
  • Monitor food costs and labor, creating budget forecasts and adjusting operations to meet financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards, conducting routine inspections and training staff accordingly.

  • Experience in budget management and cost control, illustrating the ability to optimize kitchen operations financially.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with a focus on team building and effective communication to inspire and guide kitchen staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating resilience and the capacity to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of a busy kitchen, including long hours and the ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus) to communicate effectively with diverse staff and clientele.
  • Certifications in food safety and sanitation (e.g., ServSafe) to ensure adherence to health regulations and best practices.
  • Proven track record of menu development and execution, highlighting creativity and an understanding of flavor profiles.
