To implement, monitor, and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements at project and site level, ensuring full compliance with Omani laws, regulations, and company HSE policies, while promoting a strong safety culture and preventing incidents, injuries, and environmental damage. Key Responsibilities • Implement the site HSE Management Plan in line with company policies and Oman regulations. • Ensure compliance with: o Ministry of Labour (MoL) Occupational Safety & Health requirements o Environment Authority (EA – ex MECA) environmental regulations and permit conditions o Civil Defence & Ambulance Authority (CDAA) fire and emergency safety requirements • Conduct risk assessments (HIRA/JSA) and ensure safe work methods are followed. • Carry out daily and weekly HSE inspections of work areas, equipment, and welfare facilities. • Monitor use of PPE and compliance with site safety rules. • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts; prepare reports and corrective actions. • Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness sessions. • Monitor waste management, chemical handling, fuel storage, and environmental controls. • Maintain HSE records, permits-to-work, training logs, inspection reports, and statistics. • Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and management on HSE matters. • Support emergency preparedness, drills, and response activities. • Recommend corrective and preventive actions for HSE non-compliance.
