Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Cooking:

  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure all food is cooked and presented in a timely and appealing manner.
  • Assist in menu planning and developing new dishes when required.
  • Ensure portion control and minimize food wastage.

Kitchen Operations:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly.
  • Follow daily preparation schedules and work assignments.
  • Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.

Food Safety & Hygiene:

  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP standards).
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items (FIFO method).
  • Maintain personal hygiene and wear appropriate uniform and PPE at all times.

Teamwork & Communication:

  • Work closely with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate any shortages, equipment issues, or concerns to the Head Chef.
  • Support new staff with basic training when requested.
