Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and produce detailed electrical design deliverables, including single-line diagrams, load lists, cable routing layouts, grounding, lighting, and power layouts.
- Collaborate with engineers to create construction drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams as per ADNOC standards.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with ADNOC specifications, local regulations, and international codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE).
- Prepare material take-offs, bills of materials, and support procurement activities with technical inputs.
- Perform cable sizing and voltage drop calculations.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (instrumentation, civil, mechanical) to ensure integrated design.
- Support construction and commissioning teams with design clarifications and field engineering as required.
- Participate in model reviews, design reviews, and HAZOP/HAZID sessions.
- Ensure all designs are aligned with ADNOC's HSE requirements and project-specific safety standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in electrical design within oil & gas or petrochemical industries, preferably with ADNOC or other Middle Eastern clients.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and electrical design tools (ETAP, Dialux, SmartPlant Electrical is a plus).
- Solid understanding of electrical systems used in onshore oil & gas facilities, including substations, MCCs, UPS systems, and lighting systems.
- Familiarity with ADNOC specifications and standards is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, SLDs, and vendor documentation.
- Effective communication and coordination skills within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Willingness to work in project-based roles with potential site visits when required.
