Roles & Responsibilities

FH Hub Buyer


Reporting to the Maoc Indirect Procurement Director, within the framework of the Procurement policy, the HUB Buyer ensures the implementation and achievement of the performance of the purchasing process within the designated scope/company and must:

  • Act in accordance with the established Target Purchasing policy
  • Contribute to the deployment of the purchasing strategy and purchase items or services under optimal conditions of quality, price and delivery time, as required by the prescribers.
  • Ensure the implementation of a supplier panel (from the target panel recommended by the target purchasing policy) according to the supplier selection and contracting process applicable within the group
  • To ensure that suppliers comply with their contractual commitments (including operational performance and costs)

ATTRIBUTIONS :

  • Includes the company's internal needs to align purchasing with strategic objectives.
  • Establishes and/or uses target purchasing policies (TPPs) that define short/medium/long term strategies on a commodity (e.g., energy)
  • Monitors contract deadlines and amendments, renewals, and launches new calls for tenders at the end of contracts.
  • Conducts in-depth market analyses, anticipates trends and plans for future needs
  • Analyze the total cost of ownership to obtain the best costs without compromising quality.
  • Negotiates and contracts on a multi-year basis for key commodities (e.g., Facility Management), negotiates payment terms, guarantees, and services offered.
  • He is involved in complex, high-level negotiations, often involving long-term contracts.
  • Identifies and manages legal and operational risks related to purchasing
  • Contributes to innovation by collaborating with suppliers to develop new products or improve existing processes
  • Manages its supplier panel:
    • Suit l'industrialisation
    • Consolidates supplier assessments (quality, logistics, purchasing)
    • Manages supplier improvement action plans (operational performance improvement, cost reduction)
  • Manages the supplier relationship:
    • Involved in starting the source
    • Ensures compliance with the contractual and legal obligations of all parties
  • Keeps purchase data up to date
  • Handles disputes
  • Manages the evolving needs
  • Ensures adherence to the purchasing budget for its scope
  • Promotes best practices in its relationships with suppliers
  • Ensures compliance with internal standards and purchasing procedures
  • In the case of a group mandate, coordinates its actions with the relevant buyers from other companies.

Desired Candidate Profile

You have a degree from an engineering or business school specializing in purchasing.

Minimum 3 years of proven purchasing experience in a multinational company

Perfect mastery of the buying process

Basic legal knowledge (contracting, commerce)

Writing skills

Organized and results-oriented, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Good communication skills, active listening

Team spirit

Negotiation skills, tenacity, and diplomacy

Knowledge of SAP is desirable.

Autonomous, methodical, rigorous and responsive.

Team spirit and excellent interpersonal skills

Fluency in English is essential.
