Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to create tailored intervention plans.
- Develop, implement, and modify treatment programs that enhance clients' ability to perform daily activities independently.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients, integrating insights from various health professionals.
- Educate clients and their families about treatment goals and strategies to promote understanding and engagement in the therapy process.
- Utilize adaptive equipment and technology to optimize clients' functional capabilities and improve their quality of life.
- Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide training and support in workplace ergonomics and injury prevention strategies to promote long-term health.
- Engage in community outreach activities to raise awareness about occupational therapy and its benefits.
- Stay updated on the latest research and developments in occupational therapy practices to enhance service delivery.
- Advocate for clients' needs within healthcare systems and work to eliminate barriers to their rehabilitation.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus, especially in communities served.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to tailor interventions effectively.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, prioritizing clients' unique needs.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual therapy techniques and assist clients during sessions.
