Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Logistics Carpenter is responsible for performing skilled carpentry tasks in support of logistics and warehouse operations, including Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), product repairs and Quality Control (QC). This role involves the fabrication, assembly, repair, and modification of wooden and structural components primarily used in storage systems and retail environment .In addition to core carpentry work, the logistics carpenter also assists with inventory handling, material movement, and the setup and teardown of projects. The role also requires expert knowledge of woodworking tools, joinery methods, and finishing processes, with a strong commitment to safety and accuracy.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Fabricate, install, and repair structures (e.g., crates, frames, pallets, partitions) for transportation and storage.

  • Construct, assemble, and repair high-end furniture pieces based on design specifications, drawings, and technical guidelines.

  • Cut, shape, and smooth components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery while maintaining brand quality standards.

  • Ensure all surfaces are properly sanded, levelled, and prepared for paint, polish, or upholstery.

  • Identify defects or inconsistencies and perform necessary corrections before items move to the next stage.

  • Assist in packing and securing equipment or materials for safe transport.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, or project plans.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

  • Perform routine maintenance on carpentry tools and equipment.

  • Coordinate with warehouse or logistics teams for safe packing, handling, and movement of finished pieces.

  • Ensure all carpentry tools, machines, and equipment are properly maintained and safely operated.


Job Specifications:

  • Must be physically fit and capable of handling, lifting and moving heavy merchandise, safely using proper equipment and safety gear (shoes, helmet, and gloves).

  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience as a carpenter.

  • Luxury furniture industry experience is a strong plus.

  • Must be well versed with using handy tools like – hand cutter, circular machine, panel saw etc.

  • Must adhere to company safety policies and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

  • English communication – verbal, written, reading; basic minimum.
