The People & Culture Team

The People & Culture team fosters a vibrant community where every voice is valued and every idea is empowered.


They are looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of People to lead and enhance their People & Culture function as they scale. This pivotal leadership role will shape how they hire, retain, develop, and empower talent across all markets. The successful candidate will work directly with the Co-Founders to align people initiatives with business goals, ensure operational readiness across markets (especially UAE & KSA), and help build the foundation for long-term growth.


What you ll do:

Strategic Partner to the Founders

  • Act as a thought partner to the co-founders and wider leadership team on organizational design, team structure, performance, and growth.
  • Contribute to and help drive company-wide strategy, bringing a people-first perspective to all key business decisions.
  • Build a culture of clarity, accountability, and high performance.
  • Lead headcount planning, compensation frameworks, and manpower forecasting in partnership with Finance.

People Leadership & Culture

  • Own and lead the full People & Culture strategy across the UAE, KSA, and remote teams, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Build and evolve all People pillars: Talent Acquisition, Performance, Learning & Development, Culture, Engagement, and Total Rewards.
  • Continuously evolve internal levels, compensation bands, and progression frameworks to support scale.
  • Run meaningful engagement and performance cycles, avoiding box-ticking exercises.
  • Lead with empathy and data, balancing what s good for people with what s right for the business.
  • Oversee employee engagement activities across both KSA and UAE.

Build for Scale

  • Ensure compliance and operational soundness in all markets, especially KSA & UAE.
  • Design lightweight, startup-appropriate processes and frameworks that support rapid and scalable growth (performance reviews, engagement action plans, onboarding, recognition).
  • Implement systems and tools that enhance automation, transparency, and decision-making.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing People & Talent team.
  • Coach leaders across the business on effective team leadership and development.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador, protecting what s special about the organization while evolving for future needs.


What they re looking for:

  • 10 years of experience in People & Talent, with at least 3 years in building and scaling People functions at fast-growing startups or scaleups (ideally across multiple markets).
  • Proven success in building and scaling People functions from scratch across hiring, performance, engagement, learning & development, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of organizational design, headcount planning, compensation frameworks, and talent strategy.
  • Deep familiarity with UAE and KSA labor laws and platforms (e.g., Qiwa, GOSI, Mudad) and a track record of ensuring compliance in high-growth environments.
  • Experience working directly with founders and senior leaders to shape business strategy and embed it across the organization.
  • Proficiency in designing and rolling out operating rhythms (OKRs, performance frameworks, etc.) that drive alignment and execution.
  • Clear communicator with high emotional intelligence, strong judgment, and a people-first mindset.
